sumargadtrek on 2009 shivratri
A trek to sumargad in khed ratnagiri in February 2009 shivratri, a great place to trek. Treking by Manohar more, sandeep kadam, pradeep kadam, rushikesh more, arun sondkar & jitendra patil. A Great place to trek and also have a religious satisfaction as lord shiva (sumareshwar mahadev) along with four of the godess (Bhairibhavani, zholai, navlai and waghjai devi) in aa gufa on the fort. We had a great experience of doing a pooja on shivratri there. We strated in the morning from bandwarwadi devghar by our indica. We reached kosumwadi kept our vehicle there and then started our trek. WE 6 started from kosumwadi and reached pareshwar on mahipatgad. we all made a pooja in lord pareshwar temple. Then we started from there at 11.15 reached beldarwadi. Had our afternoon lunch in god hanuman temple at beldarwadi. Just took a rest and started at 2 pm again. We crossed the river then we walked in to then densed forest reached two huge stones and then just reached to the starting point of sumargad. After that the road is a little dangerous but if we carefully walk slowly its not a thing to worry. Then the last 30 feet we have to reach by a rope. Manohar more got the the top without rope and then he tied the rope, then slowly and carefullly we taking the support of rope reached the top of sumargad. We refreshed ourselves and then, went to the temple in gufa of lord Shiva (Sumareshwar mahadev) Also godess bhairibhavani, zholai, navlai and waghjai devi) we performed the pooja there. Then we had a camp fire set made our dinner ourself had it late in night at 11. It was a great experience. Even the sound of air was so huge and dangerous that anybody can be afraid. But we had a great faith on god we enjoyed the night there. We got up early in the morning and started our way back to Thane.
